Re: Supporting a "team"
I guess when your playing for a team 3rd in the league as opposed to a team near the bottom, you get more limelight. The 2 players have a massive future ahead of them and I too would like to see them in the England squad sooner rather than later. FUCK OFF BARKELEY

Unfortunately money has taken over, clubs will happily, privately, sacrifice a cup run for potential Premiership survival.

Yeah club directors might... but club fans won't...

Re: Supporting a "team"
Grealish and Maddison stats so far this season...

Maddison

League Apps - 23 - League Goals - 6 - League Assists - 3
Cup Apps - 5 - Cup Goals 3 - Cup Assists - 0
Total Apps - 28 - Total Goals - 9 - Total Assists - 3

Grealish

League Apps - 22 - League Goals - 7 - League Assists - 6
Cup Apps - 4 - Cup Goals 2 - Cup Assists - 2
Total Apps - 26 - Total Goals - 9 - Total Assists - 8

Even Stevens on the goal stakes but Grealish is the more creative player so far this season...

Made,

Ask that fan at the beginning of August when they are waiting for the championship fixtures to come out if they look a back and think, well, we got to Wembley in February, that makes up for the millions the club have lost be relegated.

Unfortunately money has taken over, clubs will happily, privately, sacrifice a cup run for potential Premiership survival.

Not a villa love in, more of a whats gone wrong with west ham assessment.

Regarding Grealish. He is a better player than Maddison but he tries too hard to get fouled rather than simply do his thing. Maddison isn't as good as him imo but he does get on with it more and as such gets more involved and has more attempts etc.

When Grealish stops trying to pull a foul and gets on with it a bit more and takes the number of shots that Maddison does then Grealish will be a far better player.

Re: Supporting a "team"
Like Sold0 i always have had a fondness towards Villa. One of the great old Englush stadiums and on the whole their fans are a decent bunch. Also agree about Grealish, nice to see a player give so much to the team he supports as well as employ him.

His smile will be a scowl one day.

It’s a good question but it can be location, friends, belonging, common knowledge, colours, history, brand loyalty, hope, commitment, invested cognition, invested cash, experience, language, competition, euphoria, despair, kinship.

Probs a lot of other nonsense too.

Got a bit of the Gazza's about him... love the way the ball is stuck to his feet... he's a shoe in for the England squad... oh and I'd take Maddison as well... another great talent...

Re: Supporting a "team"
Ive seen Grealish a few times this season, he seems to play for free kicks most of the time. Yes, there is talent there, but give me Maddison over Grealish any day of the week

Re: Supporting a "team"
Grealish is a bit off a throw back and one of the few players you would pay to see.
Lovely place Villa's ground apart from the odd semi final game!

You could imagine Greallish and Bonds having a hell of a battle ( well world war three) then walking off shaking hands and having a beer aftwards
